Equilibrium reduced the Sweet Gum population at Warren Prairie on the tracks identified by Arkansas Natural Resource Commission (ANHC). The work was completed with a five man crew, working with chainsaws and a weed eater with a saw blade attachment. Immediately upon cutting the sweet gum, herbicide with a dye was mopped onto each stump. Trees larger than four and one half feet in height were selected for removal.
Warren Prairie is owned and managed by the . To date, the protected lands consist of approximately 4615 acres. ANHC states, " The natural area provides critical habitat for the state's largest population of the federally threatened plant, Geocarpon minimum. A breeding population of the federally endangered Red-cockaded Woodpecker was reestablished between 2011 and 2012 through translocations from donor populations in Arkansas and Louisiana."
